our world has become a cyclone
the people around us
are at the center.
Trying to lure
us in.
You’re wrong.
You are the cyclone.
Looking into your eyes—
somehow feels like reaching out
towards the eye of the storm
that is you and I.

Reeking of Sound

Jack Dunnett is a mixed media painter who grew up in the Highlands of Scotland. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Painting from Gray’s School of Art in 2017. He currently lives and works in Glasgow.
